Budget and Procurement Supervisor
The U.S. District Court is currently recruiting for a Budget and Procurement Supervisor. The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Delivers high quality department work product in accordance with the Guide to Judiciary Policy and the court’s Internal Control Manual.
- Manage, analyze, administer, and process the decentralized budget utilizing JIFMS. Consults with Chief Deputy of Administration and Clerk of Court to formulate, plan and execute the annual budget and long-range budgetary plans.
- Oversees property management work of non-IT Custodial Officer and the designated Disposal Officer.
- Oversees the accurate execution of contracts on behalf of the Court as well as the payment(s) of each contract. For reoccurring expenses, ensures adequate budget planning is utilized. Contracts must be well documented and executed in accordance with Judiciary regulations and guidelines. Ensures receiving reports are timely and accurately completed as well as ensure invoices are audited and submitted for payment processing within payment terms of contracts and office deadlines. Plan and coordinate the time and delivery of purchases and timely completion of receiving reports.
- Serve as primary liaison to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts on matters pertaining to budget and procurement.
- Conduct cost projections and create budget forecasts. Monitor all funds and prepare financial and statistical summaries and reports as required or requested.
- Responds to and oversees department help desk tickets, including those related to facility related requests. Works harmoniously with the Space and Facilities Project Manager and Financial Supervisor to ensure the needs to the Court are timely addressed and met. Plan and provide escorting oversight to facility related projects.
- Plans and participates in providing support and setup to court related meetings and events, including those funded with non-appropriated funds.
- Develop and administer a system of internal controls and procedures in coordination with the Chief Deputy of Administration and Clerk of Court.
- Reconcile the InfoWeb pay projection system (iPPS) with payroll records. Perform data analysis, expense projections, and related reporting based on different scenarios.
- Respond to requests for information and clarification regarding the budget, expenditures, or related areas.
- Recruits, selects, supervises, and evaluates Procurement staff.

Must have at least 2 year of experience in administrative/clerical work. Prior experience in a legal environment and a four-year degree is preferred. Salary is $71,480 - $138,183 DOE w/ full benefits.
