Instructional Systems Specialist
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for an Instructional Systems Specialist for the Human Resources Department. This is a full-time, permanent staff position.
Purpose of the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to support the University in achieving stated business and strategic goals and objectives by providing professional expertise in instructional systems technology, and learning and organizational development principles and best practices.
Salary: $65,148 - $69,114
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Essential Job Duties: UNC Charlotte’s Office of Learning & Organization Development is looking for a Learning Management System Coordinator to lead the configuration, implementation, development and ongoing maintenance of a Cornerstone on Demand learning management system (LMS).
This position will regularly collaborate with LMS stakeholders to ensure content remains timely and relevant. They will provide ongoing support for other trainers and departmental training administrators. Other responsibilities include analyzing system data and processes to identify and spearhead continuous improvement to support programs, events and special projects; develop opportunities to improve efficiency, maximize productivity and optimize usage. The coordinator will partner closely with Information Technology Services to coordinate system updates and re-configurations, as needed.
In addition to managing the LMS, the coordinator will perform a variety of services to meet faculty and staff learning needs including the assessment and evaluation of professional development needs, and providing instructional design, delivery, and organization of variety online, instructor-led and blended learning programs.
