Job Duties:
- Supervise a caseload of predominately juvenile offenders and some children in need of care who are placed under court supervision.
- Work closely with parents, schools and service providers to address client needs.
- Interview clients and families and compile information for reports and testimony for the court regarding disposition/sentencing and possible placement options.
- Maintain timely and accurate chronological records on each client.
- Identify client needs and make appropriate community referrals when warranted.
Required Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in psychology, sociology, social work, criminal justice or other human services related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven verbal and written communication skills. A minimum of one year experience in one or more of the following within the past five (5) years:
- Conducting Interviews
- Writing formal reports
- Working with juveniles and/or families
- Working with clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues
