About the Program:
Sunrise Services is a social services agency that focuses on providing for the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals in our community. We provide caregiving services, mental health resources, vocational services, and much more! Our work is dedicated to serving those who are elderly, disabled, or have mental health challenges.
The Supported Living Program Director is a member of the Sunrise Services senior leadership team and responsible for directing operations associated with the Residential Supported Living Program as it relates to ensuring the quality of care for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. We are looking for a proven leader with a strong human services background to come lead our team!
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures that all decisions and actions associated with the program comply with established agency policies and procedures and are consistent with all provisions and regulations of state, county, federal, and local regulatory agencies and maintains compliance with current contracts and WAC’s. The Director also implements operations and objectives of the Residential program and is responsible for fiscal operations, staffing, and staff collaboration, implementation of policy and procedures, and achievement of program goals.
- Provide overall program coordination of instruction and support services for Sunrise Services’ DD contracted Community Residential Programs.
- Supervise all Program Coordinators, RN Program Coordinator, QA Manager, Behavioral Specialist, and LSR Program Manager.
- Ensure ISS program compliance with all applicable WAC’s, DDD policies, Residential Guidelines, Sunrise Services – DDD Contract, company policies and any other applicable State and Federal Statutes.
- Ensure that ISS Community Living and Community Protection Policies are in current compliance and that affected staff are appropriately trained in those policies.
- Ensure that ISS personnel are hired, trained, supervised, monitored and evaluated in accordance with program standards and policy requirements.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and conduct of after hours pager system. Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Ensure that all sites are staffed appropriately and in accordance with DD contract hours.
- Monitor budget and expenditures related to staffing hours and Client Allowance Requests.
- Communicate effectively with governmental agencies, family and community members and social service agencies on often complex and/or confidential client issues.
- Evaluate and monitor program effectiveness, reporting regularly to COO or Agency Administrator on participant and staff needs, and implementing changes as necessary.
- Develop and implement appropriate client records, tracking mechanisms, reports and documentation, and ISS training records.
- Promote the development and growth of increased capacity for clients.
- Maintain knowledge of and interact individually with program participants, and make regular periodic visits to all client residences.
- Provide appropriate role modeling and leadership for ISS staff.
- Develop staffing proposals to DDD for new participant referrals.
- Oversee participant intake process and determine appropriate service hours.
- Participate in specialized training and other professional development activities designed to update knowledge, enhance and increase skills and foster professional growth.
- Perform other duties as required.
This is a senior management position that supervises multiple program coordinators. The position requires a strong sense of self-confidence, proven management experience, decisiveness, ability to maintain professional boundaries, and must be able to build stand-alone junior management teams capable of achieving monthly performance goals.
Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services or appropriate field required. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 5 years experience in Human Services or related field required.
- 3 years supervisory and management experience required.
- 3 years of program management
- Any acceptable combination of education and experience, which insures the ability to perform the duties of this position may be substituted for the above requirements.
- Other Considerations:
- First Aid/CPR, Nurse Delegation certification and NAR required within 90 days of hire.
- Current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, $100,000 liability insurance and DSHS background clearance required.

- $74,255.58 - $89,680.86 Salary depends on experience
