Superintendent
Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple provisions of the onsite and offsite infrastructure within construction development projects from planning to implementation to completion, which is primarily related to land development that is zoned for residential, commercial, multi-family or other development.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects through forward planning and scheduling with internal and external trade partners, engineering consultants and municipality agents/inspectors;
- Supervise and communicate effectively with onsite personnel and subcontractors, and land development team;
- Interface and maintain professional relations with project inspectors, consultants, agency representatives, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients;
- General knowledge to Negotiate construction bidding and estimating, establish aggressive construction schedules and adhere to efficient project timelines;
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications of infrastructure;
- Maintain reconciliation of project budgeting and subcontractor contracts;
- Maintain compliance requirements related to City/County standards and approved civil improvement plans,
Infrastructure Construction Knowledge/Experience:
- Working knowledge of logistics of land development design, engineering and infrastructure build: Including but not limited to underground sewer/water/storm drain, joint trench, electric/gas dry utilities, street improvements, grading, curb/gutter/sidewalk, etc.
- Working knowledge of soils reports, permit application processing for on/off site improvement including encroachment permits
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in land development infrastructure installation, construction management, or other related fields of 10+ years desired
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Strong leadership and communication qualities
- Have ability to identify and resolve issues or conflicts promptly
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Motivated individual that is a Self-Starter
- Must be proficient in working knowledge of construction and improvement plan specifications, construction logistics and overall land development infrastructure
- Bilingual a plus, but not required
- Company vehicle provided
- Position will require project oversight in both Los Banos, CA and Merced, CA
