Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Promotes image of the venue by displaying impeccable manners, diplomacy and tact towards guests.
- Promotes and provides exemplary bar service to San Manuel guests, using proper serving techniques according to department policies and procedures.
- Responsible for setting up workstations within the Bar, and breaking down all stations at the end of their shift.
- Produces kitchen made items including syrups, cut fruit, and house-made mixers.
- Responsible for the inventory, ordering and stocking of all wine, liquor and beer.
- Actively develops new drink recipes for the dinner and club menu.
- Provides training to all bartenders on proper execution of drink recipes, including technique and speed in preparation of cocktails/ drinks.
- Monitors and maintains the cleanliness of the facility and confirms that all appropriate side work duties are being performed.
- Maintains an inventory of glassware, and promptly communicates any shortages to management.
- Oversees the bartenders to ensure proper guest service standards.
- Completes the closing checklists.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a bartender, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience within a food and beverage environment.
- Must possess a desire to exceed guest expectations.
- Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to coworkers and guests; basic mathematical skills are also required.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card and negative TB test.
- Must obtain and maintain T.I.P.S Certification.
- Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Class “A” Gaming license issued by the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.

- Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled restaurant environment within a gaming facility.
- Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, high demand environment.
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person.
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities, guests and employees.
- Mobility sufficient to safely move in a restaurant and gaming facility; handle or feel objects, tools or controls, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
- The individual is occasionally required to climb or balance, and taste or smell.
- Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
- Strength sufficient to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to wet, humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles such as secondhand smoke.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
