Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides social work services on an individual or group setting to individuals with disabilities.
• Provides services to enhance individuals quality of life and enable the person to live independently or as independently as possible in a family/guardian household or placement setting.
• Develops and conducts small groups on topics such as sexuality, sexual abuse prevention and rights of individuals.
• Acts as an advocate for individuals served to ensure their rights and needs are met.
• Serves as a liaison between client, agency programs, family/guardians and other agencies to promote communication and integration of program services.
• Documents individuals goals and progress according to agency policy.
• Attains and maintains Personal Outcome Measures (POMs) interviewer certification and conducts POMs interviews as needed.

Are you qualified?

• Masters Degree in Social Work
• Licensed and currently registered as a Licensed Master Social Worker by the NYS Dept of Education
• Experience facilitating groups and providing services to individuals families or case management
• One (1) year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Ability to communicate and work effectively within a team environment
• Ability to interact with staff and individuals in a professional and friendly manner
