TEAM LEADER - Full Time
The City of Marseilles has a full-time position in the Public Works Department as a Team Leader opening.
Requirements for the job include but are not limited to Electrical 480 Volt, Rough and Finishing Carpentry, Masonry Knowledge. Must be able to read blue prints. The applicant must have or be able to obtain a Class B CDL license within 21 working days. Must demonstrate knowledge, skills, and motivation to provide excellent service to the community. Position is on call 24 hours a day for emergencies. The position comes with a full benefit package, health, dental, eye, and a retirement plan. The position pays based on knowledge and experience.
Job Description: Manage all Building and Ground Maintenance. Schedules, assigns, motivate, supervise, and evaluate the work of the operations/maintenance staff. Performs a variety of skills, technical and maintenance work in the planning, construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of city water, street and storm drainage structures, and maintenance of building, grounds, and open spaces. Organizes and monitors all emergency repairs. Thorough knowledge of materials, supplies, parts and components used in general maintenance, traffic and water. Maintains inventory control systems, field data, reviews property damage claims and develops required safety programs. Operate a variety of power construction, maintenance, and snow removal equipment.
