Surgical Technologist, RN OR, RN Pre op/Recovery
Position Title: Surgical Technologist
Position is responsible for handling instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, as well as maintaining a constant vigil of the sterile field. Serves as a resource for others and participates in the preceptorship of students as well as staff on orientation.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or successfully completed an accredited nursing program.
- Current Operating Room experience as a Scrub Tech preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon completion of orientation, not to exceed 30 days from date of hire.
- Certification as Scrub Technician/Surgical Technician preferred.
Position Title: Registered Nurse OR
Promotes, monitors and maintains safe, effective, and efficient nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care that are conducive to the health and safety of every patient.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN), or 3 year diploma in nursing, from an approved college or university required
- BSN from an approved college or university preferred.
- Previous OR nurse experience, experience as an OR scrub tech, or OR nurse tech preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current RN license is required.
- Must have Kansas RN license by date of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers offered by the American Heart Association or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer offered by the Red Cross within 30 days post date of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 180 days of hire.
Position Title: Registered Nurse
Provides professional nursing care to patients including a comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs, planning, coordination, teaching, documenting, counseling, and providing direct physical care. Evaluates patient response to care and progress towards outcomes. Assists other personnel providing delegated aspects of care. Demonstrates knowledge of and delivers care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN), or 3 year diploma in nursing, from an approved (Accredited by NLN or CCNE) college or university required.
- BSN from an approved (Accredited by NLN or CCNE) college or university preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current RN license.
- Must have Kansas RN license by date of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers offered by the American Heart Association or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer offered by the Red Cross within 30 days post date of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required upon completion of orientation, not to exceed 180 days. Optional for PRN staff.
