Sexual Abuse Prevention Coordinator
The Arc of Spokane's Sexual Abuse Prevention Program is seeking a program coordinator to help end sexual abuse of youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our ideal candidate is highly organized as well as creative with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for working with youth with intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities:
The Prevention Coordinator will present a research-based sexual abuse prevention curriculum to youth with developmental disabilities in transition programs throughout the Spokane area; develop, coordinate and facilitate a youth leadership development group for young adults with I/DD; organize and supervise a monthly social activity for youth with I/DD; evaluate, update and improve sexual abuse prevention curriculum.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Special Education or human services; the ability to meet training requirements to provide sexual abuse and assault services; proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; ability to pass a criminal background check; a valid driver's license and own transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching or providing trainings; experience working with youth with developmental disabilities; grant writing experience; knowledge of program evaluation process and tools; knowledge of the public-school system, specifically special education programs and services.
30 hours per week, includes paid leave and holidays, medical, dental, life insurance and professional development opportunities.
$20.00-$23.00 per hour Depending on experience.
